Our Vision
“I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death” Philippians 3:10

It is our VISION and call, and commitment to point the church back onto the path of making disciples. It is our passion and directive to lead Christians away from our false perceptions and into His way.

We desire to see a church committed to His purpose and poured out to His ways. Then we will see revival through real prayer and devotion to His Lordship.

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105 KJV

Into Thy Word Ministries teaches people how to study the Bible in a simple, clear, and concise way, discipling pastors and missionaries, providing seminars, speaking, church consulting, discipleship tools and resources for Christian growth.

Life Worth Living

By Lane Palmer
Most people would call it living when someone is alive- you know, like ‘death challenged’?

Dare 2 Share - “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” ( Psalms 139:13-14)

Are you glad that you were granted life? Are you completely healthy and well educated? Do you have hope, and are you motivated? Have you always had a home and plenty of food? Do you feel loved?

If the answer to any of these questions is “No”, then you probably should have been aborted- at least according to the former Surgeon General, Jocelyn Elders. Dr. Elders claims that 60% of America’s children are “unplanned and unwanted”. (Of course, when questioned regarding the source of this statistic, she was unable to defend it.) Dr. Elders promotes the idea that abortion (i.e. the premeditated and violent murder of an innocent and defenseless human being) is far better than an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy. In defense of her opinion she claims, “It’s a matter of what you call living...”

I have a question: what do you call living, Dr. Elders?

“I call living a child that’s healthy, educated, motivated, and has hope. I don’t call it living when you have pain and no health insurance...I don’t call it living when you’re a member of a hug-less club. I don’t call it living when you have no hope.” (Elders statement at pro-choice rally in Arkansas)

Interesting analysis. Most people would call it living when someone is alive- you know, like ‘death challenged’? That would include the millions of unborn children who are victims of abortion. Elders seems to promote abortion as the answer to all of life’s difficulties. Almost as if we abort all unwanted or unplanned pregnancies, we will then be on the highway to a perfect society
.
This truly is thick thinking and ludicrous logic. There are thousands of ‘wanted’ children who do not necessarily experience the “high quality of life” that Elders uses to justify abortion. Moreover, many unplanned children are experiencing a very high “quality of life” at this very moment.

I wish Dr. Elders could have sat in my office across from a 13-year old girl as she shared her story. This young lady spent the early years of her life being abused mentally, physically, and verbally by two alcoholic parents. I wanted to cry as I listened. As she finished I asked, “What is it that has caused you to believe that life is worth living?” Her eyes sparkled and a smile filled her face as she replied, ”I know now that I wasn’t put here as the world’s punching bag. God has a purpose and a plan for my life, and I can’t wait to see what it is!”

I am thankful that I serve a Creator who has chosen to hug the hug-less and give hope to the hopeless. I am thankful that my Master chose to reveal His unconditional love to the world through an unjust death. I am thankful that my Lord chose to selflessly sacrifice Himself for sinners that I might have life, and life more abundantly. I am thankful that God does not believe that only a few are worthy of life, and that millions must die because there is no better way to ensure the “quality of life.”

Unfortunately, the message that many teens are receiving today comes from the world. The message is this: “If you cannot produce as a valuable member of society; if you cannot be found worthy of societal acceptance and rewards; if you are without hope, love, hugs, are a home; you are better off dead!”

As Christians we should be working to spread the message of hope in Jesus Christ. People need to hear what Jesus calls living, and shown what we call giving. We should stand against those who seek to overlook the value of every human life and embrace the philosophy of selective death. If ‘living’ is just a matter of having everything go your way, then I suppose every person on earth will at one time or another be a candidate for abortion! Fortunately, the Author of Life offers us ultimate living that is completely unrelated to circumstances.

If you want to improve the ‘quality of society’-the answer is not found in the sacrifice of millions, but the sacrifice of One!

Questions:

1)What do you think Jesus meant in John 10:10 when He said, “I have come to give them life and life more abundantly”?

2) Do you know people who are basing their happiness on circumstances? Can you tell them about the abundant life found in Christ?
